General News for both parishes (unless stated)
FOR THOSE WHO WERE NOT AROUND THE SUNDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS, it has been formally announced that Revd Mark James is to become Rector of Bentley Common, Kelvedon Hatch and Navestock, three parishes situated between Brentwood and Chipping Ongar. His induction will be on April 29th.
THE STATIONS OF THE NATIVITY: TODAY, 6.00PM. Following the success of this service last year we are repeating it this evening, 6.00pm at St Mary's. The service is similar in format to the well known 'Stations of the Cross' that we sometimes have in Lent. We will move around the church building as we re-enact the journeys of the Holy Family and those who visited them at that first Christmas. Come along and reflect on the different aspects of the Nativity story and what it means to us in 2009.
FAIRTRADE will be in Church on Sunday 11th January.
CHURCHES TOGETHER UNITY SUPPER. Friday January 16th. The annual event is always a sell-out. The 80 or so £5 tickets go like the proverbial hot cakes. So don't delay - see Pam Cheal as soon as possible, and book your place.
AT THE BACK OF THE CHURCH there is a box for prayer requests. If you would like us to pray for anyone, please leave your request in the box and they will be prayed for at the Monday Prayer Group.
