General News for both parishes (unless stated)
DUNMOW'S TOWN CAROL SERVICE. FOAKES HALL, TODAY: 3.30PM. Church members from all the local churches, children from Dunmow St Mary's Primary School's choir, and members of the public join together in joyful celebration as we sing familiar Christmas carols. The informal setting makes this somewhat different from other church-based Carol Services, but a wonderful way to get into the true message of Christmas. A retiring Collection will support the work of CRISIS and The Dunmow Amalgamated Trusts.
CHRISTMAS IN THE MALTINGS. The Friends of Great Dunmow Maltings are once again holding their Christmas at the Maltings evening on December 15th at 7.30 p.m. Ray Cheal and Friends will be entertaining us and leading the Carol singing. There will be Mulled Wine and Mince Pies and a raffle. There is no charge for entry but we will have a retiring collection. You are welcome to join in the festivities.
JOB VACANCIES
1. Clock Winder at St Mary's.
2. Co-ordinator for the St Mary's Brass Cleaning Rota.
3. Outlook Distributor for Countinghouse Lane & Gibbons Court, Great Dunmow.
If you can help, please tell David Ainge as soon as possible.
FAITH IN ACTION - GIFTS WITH A DIFFERENCE. The brochures showing alternative suggestions for Christmas presents are now available at the back of St Mary's.
CAROL SINGERS WANTED. A few members of St Mary's have asked about the possibility of going Carol Singing around the streets in part of Dunmow on the 21st and/or 22nd December.
