General News for both parishes (unless stated)
CONGRATULATIONS TO DAVID WESTCOTT, MBE. Her Majesty the Queen has made David a Member of the British Empire for his extensive services in support of Voluntary groups in Great Dunmow and Barnston, and also in the County of Essex. Well done, David.
STATIONS OF THE NATIVITY. The 6.00pm Service today, will take the form of the Stations of the Nativity. As we have seen in recent years, this is very similar to the better known Stations of the Cross in Holy Week, but takes us through the journey from the news of the promised birth of John the Baptist to the Journey of Mary, Joseph & Jesus back to Nazareth. Lots of familiar stuff - but all held together in a continuing narrative plus opportunity to think & pray. Come prepared to move around the church building as we journey through the Nativity.
THE CHURCHES TOGETHER IN DUNMOW UNITY SUPPER to be held on 15th January 2010 at URC 7.00 for 7.30p.m. £5.00 tickets. Please contact David Ainge 872504 or Pam Cheal 872577 to reserve a ticket. Please could we ask for three volunteers to prepare a trifle for dessert. Let Pam know if you can help. Many thanks.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE - car park attendants, caterers, choir, cleaners, flower arrangers, ministers of communion, movers of furniture, musicians, photo copy-ers, preachers, readers, removers of ice, sidesmen, etc. - who enabled our Christmas Services to go so well. Without your participation, things would have been so much more difficult. Thank you.
