Midsummer Madness Treasure Hunt
It’s that time of year for some madness and Wimbledon….no, not tennis, strawberries and cream!
To build up a good appetite and a thirst, and a chance to win some prizes, get together with one or two friends or family and join us for a walking treasure hunt around Dunmow. Starting from St. Mary’s rooms (next to the Angel & Harp pub) you will be provided with a ‘clue’ sheet and directions to walk the streets and fields of Dunmow in search of hidden ‘treasure’. You will, unless you get completely lost, kidnapped, caught up in a volcanic ash cloud or sold into slavery, return to where you started from in time to get fed up with strawberries, cream and cups of tea.
If anyone just wants the strawberries and to skip the treasure hunt, you’ll be welcome too, but you’ll not be in the running for one of the prizes that will be awarded to the best treasure hunters in Gt. Dunmow.
Arrive at St. Mary’s rooms from 2pm to sign up and get instructions for the hunt.
Strawberry cream teas will be served from 3pm.
£3 per entry to the treasure hunt only (per person)
All profits go to St. Mary’s church funds.
