TWO WEEKS' TO GO - GET YOUR TICKETS NOW FOR THE EXTRA SPECIAL CONCERT AT ST ANDREW'S. Tickets, costing £10 each, are now available for The Flutes of Love Concert at St Andrew's on Saturday 31st July. A glorious evening of Early English Music and refreshing drinks & fresh fruit kebabs in the interval will make this an evening to remember.

CONGRATULATIONS TO DON & GAYNOR POTTER. Last Friday's quarter peal of bells was in celebration of their Golden Wedding.

LADIES' LUNCH. Glenys Parratt is inviting the ladies of the parish to her home (28 Emblems, Great Dunmow) for lunch next Wednesday (21st July) at 12 noon. It would be helpful if you could ring her (875667) to let her know you'll be there.

CHURCHES TOGETHER IN DUNMOW - FAMILY PICNIC. 4th August, 12 noon-2pm, St Mary's Centre & Churchyard. Open invitation to everyone - come and enjoy the space, company, craft and Christian puppet show. More details from Jo Hargrave 872995. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PICNIC.

RIDE & STRIDE. This annual fundraising event, organized by The Friends of Essex Churches, will be on Saturday September 11th. Both St Andrew's & St Mary's churches get involved in this - please see the notices at the back of church for details.

CAKES NEEDED (for August 29th & 30th). It will soon be the Countess of Warwick's Show - yes another year has flown by. St Mary's will, again, be providing the Cake Stall and Refreshment Stall - and raising essential funds for the church accounts! Hundreds of cakes are needed. Vera Davies has all the details.

LATEST NEWS: JO HARGRAVE (872995) has space in her freezer for cakes. So, make them soon, and freeze them for later.

DID YOU GET MARRIED AT ST. MARY'S? We are looking for wedding photos taken outside Church for the Diary of a County Churchyard August Display. If you, or any of your family or friends got married at St. Mary's, please get in touch. We have teamed up with Mike Perry of David Lipson Photography for this project. We hope to create displays both in the Library and at the shop in August. We are on the search for the photographs going back as far as possible, to be shown alongside more recent pictures. This promises to be a fascinating local history project. For it to work we need your help in finding and contributing photographs. Deadline Monday 26 July. For more information please contact Catherine Sale on 859767, catherinemummery@ stmarysgreatdunmow.org.uk
