Riverside Project - August 2010
What’s On In August
We are delighted so many couples and families have contributed wedding photos taken outside the Church. The August Library display will feature pictures taken from the 1950s to the present day, together with treasured memories of everyone’s special day. Our thanks go to everyone who has participated. We are particularly grateful to Mike & Sue Perry and David Lipson Photography for their help with this project. The display includes a photograph taken by David Lipson of Mike & Sue’s own wedding on 22nd September 1975. The happy couple are seen coming out of the Church through an arch of camera tripods.

Activities This Month
The Churches Together Dunmow Holiday Club will be creating artwork for the September Library display inspired by their “Rumble In the Jungle” theme.
Date For Your Diary
On Saturday 4th September Sylvia and Roger Jiggins from the Essex Bat Society will be holding a special bat event. It will start at 7.15pm in the Church with a brief talk and look at bat specimens. Bats may emerge and fly inside the Church in which case we will remain in the Church for a while watching them and listening to their calls on the bat Detectors. Then we will go outside and hope to see/hear bats around the churchyard. Finish will be 8.30pm-ish depending on bat activity and human interest. People should bring torches so they can see where they are walking when outside in the dark. Places are limited so please book in advance – please see below for contact details.
