IN TOUCH WITH MUSIC - TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW.
On Saturday 11th February, Amanda Michell & her Friends, and St Mary's Church Choir, are presenting a delightful evening of music at St Mary's. Tickets, costing £10 each (£6 for students and anyone under 18 years of age), are now available. Profits from the evening will be shared between the Church Roof Restoration Fund and the Music & The Deaf organisation.ST MARY'S JANUARY SALE. There are just a few (heavily discounted) Christmas Cards available at the back of church.
ST MARY'S COMMUNION RAIL. Would able-bodied people coming to the Communion Rail for Communion please leave the ends of the rail clear for those who need to use the handrails as they ascend the steps.
ST MARY'S FLOWERS. If you would like to provide the funding for flowers in church on Sundays to mark birthdays, anniversaries or for any other reason, please add your names in the appropriate places on the list at the back of church.
QUIZ TICKETS AVAILABLE. Vera Davies and Jenny Salisbury have tickets for the Quiz on Saturday February 25 at 7:30pm in
St Mary's Room. There will be a platter buffet and a raffle during the evening, but please bring your own drinks and glass as we have no bar. Tickets cost £7 each.TRANSFORMING PRESENCE. Last week Philip Tarris referred to the Bishop of Chelmsford's initiative called Transforming Presence. Copies of the study paper are now available at the back of church. This will be the core of our thinking for a long time to come - so please read, mark, learn and inwardly digest.
CONFIRMATION PREPARATION. Are you interested in being Confirmed? The Bishop of Colchester is coming to conduct a Confirmation Service at St Mary's on Sunday October 28th at 10.30am. Separate Confirmation Preparation sessions will be arranged for adults and youngsters (aged 13+) during the summer/autumn. If you're interested, please let David Ainge know before Easter.
